No Longer

give me mountains
give me trees
ocean waves crashing
sunlight caressing
give me fiery winds
and lightening storms
cool quiet breezes
rivers
and canyons

all these things remind me
that i am connected
that i am loved
and that things are simple

i think
sometimes theology
is just an exercise in ego
to the extremes we take it-
we've God figured out down to the letter
to the law
and after we've all made our points
we're more divided than before
