what is life for?

feeling a little conflicted tonight.
is seeking your own happiness a selfish endeavor?

yes and no. i suppose it depends on what you're seeking your happiness in.

It could be. Life isn't all happiness. There is joy though. And true joy can be found anywhere.

it seems that being imperfect humans, prone to error, we will do everything w/ some selfishness. even to glorify God, we do it not just because we know God wants us to, or that we're grateful for His atonement..but because we selfishly want to be safe and secure.

So... ummm.. i dont know. i just wanted to say that.

what is life for?

perhaps for sharing
and for laughing
and for loving
and for learning
and for serving
and for searching
and for stumbling
and for getting back up again
and for realizing there is only ONE who truly knows and understands and the fact that He loves us enough to give us life and let us breathe is reason enough to try and love things right and live things in a way that starts the ripples of change.

very beautiful list. i think so too. and i certainly hope that the life i live creates ripples, ripples that extend beyond what i see and understand.
thanks for responding, anonymous.
